Unique Identifier : AIDSLINE ICA10/94370567 AB OBJECTIVE: to determine emotional behaviour and psychopathological factors which predispose HIV/AIDS patients to a major adherence and compliance towards psychological treatment. METHODS: 150 HIV/AIDS people were evaluated: by clinical psychological interviews, structured according to D.S.M. III R, M.M.P.I., treatment valuation. RESULTS: TABULAR DATA, SEE ABSTRACT VOLUME. CONCLUSIONS: The high level of depression and anxiety lead patients to possible inadeguate behaviours and they tend not to accept or to interrupt the psychological treatment. For this reason further strategies of intervention are necessary in order to obtain acquisition of specific capacity of coping on behalf of patients starting from the first phase of the infection.
